On the evening of BUILDFest Pitch, the air was filled with excitement and the team at David Fox, Photographer were ready to photograph the event at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. This was a very special occasion for our client, Build Greater Boston. Four of the twenty high school Freshman teams from various Boston high schools had made it to the final round to pitch their business concepts to a group of VIP judges for a chance to win real money for their business. The other sixteen student entrepreneurs had the opportunity to sell their products at the trade show before the award gala.
The business finalists were: Double Charge, Roll n Go, Orphan Socks and Razzle Dazzle. The notable judges were: Former MA governor Deval Patrick, former Patriots Linebacker Jared Mayo, Jane Steinmetz and William Wagner. Continue reading →
It was a beautiful, spring day in Wellesley when we met with our new clients at The United States Tennis Association of New England-who were looking for some dynamic marketing images to promote the regional tennis community. The photo shoot took place at the tennis courts at Wellesley College, and a number of USTA New England members of diverse age and ethnic groups were available to model.
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) was founded in 1881, and is a non-profit organization and champion of promoting the sport of tennis for all playing levels in the country including: pro level athletes, recreational players and even wheelchair tennis contenders. USTA New England is the local chapter which is and is embodied by 15,000 players. It is one of seventeen divisions across the nation that make up the USTA.
I arrived in South Boston at the beautiful Westin Boston Waterfront Hotelat 8:15 am for the HSMAI Boston meeting Staying Ahead in the Digital Marketing Spacewhere I met up with Lauren Owens Lambert. Lauren is an associate photographer for David Fox, Photographer. She was covering the event while David was out of town. We were greeted warmly as we registered, bought raffle tickets and met HSMAI Boston president, Greg Bodenair. Greg is the enthusiastic new leader of this dynamic group of sales and marketing managers and he was pleased to have us there. He was also excited about the presentation he and Brian Fitzgerald were about to give.
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast buffet which included a unique, plated trio of a poached egg, corned beef hash and hollandaise sauce. Breakfast parfaits mixed with dried fruit, seeds and nuts as well as sliced fresh fruit, pastries and coffee were also on hand. I took advantage of the social time to connect with a few people while Lauren captured images of HSMAI Boston members mingling before the presentation.
