David and I made our way to the Winter Wonderland Social at Fenway Park. We ran into fellow MPINE members and students from Endicott College on their way to attend the New Member Reception before the main event. Everyone was very excited for this highly anticipated winter celebration. The reception was lovely. We enjoyed seeing snow on the baseball field. This was a chance to chat in a quiet environment before heading up to the party.

As we walked up the stairs to the State Street Pavilion, we saw #MPINE in marquee lights provided by Your Love In Lights. We photographed the spectacular decor created by DPI Events. It was indeed, a winter wonderland. There were beautiful white branch trees with white lights and evergreens with a dusting of snow. A rack for skis and ice-skates, wooden benches around faux bonfires which provided additional seating. There were cute wintery votives decorating the tables. The niche shelf over the windows to the baseball field made a wonderful space to display a panoramic winter wonderland complete with snow, trees and lights. The details were wonderfully thought out.

There were many activities to participate in. Fun Enterprises was set up for green screen photos complete with props which is a great ice-breaker.

Some of the other activities exclusive to Fenway Park Events were the World Series Trophies, a visit from Wally and Tessie, the Green Monsters. Virtual reality goggles that put you right on the field with Mookie Betts and other players with a 360-degree view of the ballpark! There was also Sox VR virtual reality batting area. This provided a great opportunity to experience something unique and share it with new friends before the party really started.

There was a table with greeting cards for the troops overseas set up so members could write a personal message and wish a soldier a Happy New Year for Operation American Soldier. A nice reminder of the spirit of the holiday season.

The space started to fill up with MPINE members as music provided by Entertainment Specialists filled the air. There was a buzz of anticipation for the biggest MPINE event of the year, the Winter Wonderland Social.

Servers passed plated hors d’oeuvres to hungry guests. There were trays full of mini lobster rolls and Fenway Franks for the growing crowd. Aramark Catering also had several food stations set up. The soft taco bar was a big hit as was the ziti with butternut squash and chicken fried rice. The sustenance got everyone energized to dance the night away.

The party kicked into full swing when World Premier Band took the stage. What makes this band so much fun is that not only do they sound fantastic, but they truly love dancing and interacting with the crowd, playfully coaxing people into dancing with them. Classics like Brick House, I Know You Want Me and Shut up and Dance got partygoers on the dance floor.

We have proudly sponsored MPINE since 2006

The Winter Wonderland Social at Fenway Park is the biggest event of the year with about 200 members there. This was a fantastic end of the year party and networking event. The State Street Pavilion at Fenway Park was a really unique and festive setting for a holiday party. Members of the hospitality and event industry had the perfect place to show off their talents, and David and I had a blast taking photos to showcase all the features of the event. See more of David’s photos of the event (here).
